Hispanos son ligeramente más propensos a comer durante las horas de trabajo

Tr3s took a look at the millennial generation’s eating habits at work, as part of a forthcoming study about Hispanics between ages 19-34. Here are a few of the details:Hispanics are slightly more likely than non-Hispanics to eat during working hours. Among adult Hispanic workers, 82 percent have a meal during working hours, compared to 79 percent of non-Hispanics.Around 85 percent of Hispanic and non-Hispanic workers between ages 30-34 eat on the job, and when they don’t eat during the day it’s because they’re very busy or don’t have the time. The percentage is reduced in the segment between ages 19-29, who say the main reason they don’t have lunch during working hours is because they work part time. Those who eat while working mostly bring their meal from home. Close to 7 out of every 10 adult Hispanics and non-Hispanics bring their own food. Even so, Hispanics who buy food at some local store or restaurant tend to eat it at work, while more non-Hispanics dine somewhere else.Hispanics more often eat in common areas, such as a leisure room or cafeteria, rather than at their desks. Most take a lunch break of between 16-30 minutes.
